A forum on the future of the Monash Freeway (Hallam Bypass) and public transport in Melbourne's outer south east.
The City of Casey, with support from Cardinia Shire Council, will be hosting the Better Roads, Better Buses, Better Trains Forum to discuss:
- the future of the Monash Freeway (Hallam Bypass) and the associated road network and,
- opportunities to increase public transport connections in Melbourne’s outer south east.
The aim of the forum is to raise transport issues in Melbourne’s outer south east and present them to relevant government authorities to ensure they address these as part of any future plans for the region.
VicRoads and the State Department of Transport have been invited to present their plans for road and transport improvements to meet the very high population growth trajectory in the region.
The City of Casey is encouraging residents to submit questions that can be forwarded to the relevant government authorities for consideration prior to the forum and/or raised at the forum.
